Events Manager – NY

Digital Transitions, a leading supplier of professional photographic solutions to the world’s top photographers and cultural heritage organizations, is seeking a full-time New York City-based Events Manager to lead execution of our trade shows and events.

About the Role:
Hands-on execution and management of all aspects of events, to include trade shows, conferences, exhibitions, and private events.

Work with the marketing and sales teams to develop and implement the trade show/events plan and strategy. Develop strong relationships and foster collaboration with all internal functions and external partners.

This position requires a high degree of attention to detail, exceptional planning and project management skills, analytical ability, collaboration, negotiation skills, and hustle. It also requires the ability to work on additional marketing tasks as required.

  • Manage all aspects of events including event timelines, vendor management, logistics, production, shipments, etc.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine event goals and strategy
  • Provide creative input and work closely with the creative team on all event marketing collateral
  • Negotiate with vendors and work with on-site A/V, vendors, caterers, venues, site management
  • Update event budgets, track spending, and process payments
  • Be hands-on with all aspects of event preparations and logistics
  • Proactively incorporate best practices coupled with creative and fresh thinking to enhance our branded experiences
  • Report on event success metrics and provide post-show reporting and feedback
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or communications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing and events
  • Strong project management skills
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Highly proficient with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with SalesForce
  • Experience with social media tools
  • Experience with writing, editing, and graphic design a plus
  • Experience with WordPress and HTML a plus
  • Familiarity with CMS and marketing analytics tools (Google Analytics) a plus
  • Familiarity with SEO and keyword research best practices a plus

Equipment Specialist – LA

Digital Transitions – Culver City, CA

As the Equipment Specialist for our Digital Transitions Culver City team you will be responsible for management of rental/demo gear, logistics of equipment needs for sales demonstrations and events and overall office maintenance.

This is a public facing position and we are looking for someone who is personable, with a strong technical photographic background (digital camera backs, medium format cameras, technical cameras, etc.), is detail oriented, and has great organizational & communication skills. We want a team-oriented person who is willing to grow with our company.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Be a point of contact for in-person, telephone, and email communication
  • Provide walk-in, telephone and email support for clients in the following areas:
  • Capture One Technical Support
  • Digital Back Technical Support
  • Camera Support
  • Lighting Support * Scheduling, packing & unpacking of all Rental & Demo equipment
  • Develop and manage relationships with Digital Transitions Commercial and Cultural Heritage clients & rental houses
  • Manage accessory sales with clients
  • Work with sales team to coordinate equipment needs for demonstrations.
  • Testing and maintaining medium format camera and digital back inventory
  • Answer client’s questions regarding rentals or demo equipment
  • Participate in Trade Show and Exhibitions (as needed)
  • Maintain cleanliness of the office
  • Other Duties as Assigned
